Carrion City Carrion Virus Book 1 eBook MW Duncan Reviews
Duncan does a great job, it will be interesting to see where he takes this story.
Ultimately a forgettable read.
This book was really exciting, and ended on a note that leaves you ready to buy the next one. Awesome.
For me the greatest testament to a great novel, is the desire for more when you've reached that last fateful page. This is much more than the average zombie story. There is a strong vein of psychological thriller running throughout this thought provoking tale. Duncan has mastered the art of vivid imagery which not only makes the reader feel as though they are an actual witness of the gruesome horrors, but also a main character facing one moral dilemma after the next.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the psychology of survival, and the questionable morality at play as one trys to stay alive. Excellent read!
Pick this book up soon after I finish reading one of my favorite zombie series.when I picked this book up I didn't think the book would hold my interest.
But MW Duncan made me a fan of his book, the story picked up fairly quick and once the story build up lets just say I'm excited to read what he has In stored for book 2, recommend picking up this book cause I think it's gonna turn out a really good series !!!!
Carrion City is a well written story. There are quite different characters and scenarios at the beginning and we get to know them before they are woven into the mix. The reason behind the epidemic has not been revealed. The sequel should be very interesting. Great writer, great read. 5 stars.
Duncan offers up a good meaty story in zombie fare. His pacing is relentless but balanced; it speeds up quite a bit in just the right spots. Once I sorted out how many characters I came across, I began to appreciate the light fingerprint touch the author uses to give each character personal life force. Small details that he leaves influence bigger ideas about who these people are and what makes them admirable and/or annoying af. I'm not much of a corpse bunny, usually, but this little book is a bright spot among the massive offerings of zombie thrillers that are out there. I'm looking forward to keeping up with Eric Mann. If he dies, I'll personally riot. *Keep that in mind, author.
