Reading the book as a long time married person, I found that I was constantly evaluating my relationship with God. At each stage in life we may believe myths that make us doubt if we are valuable.Through humor and stories backed up with scripture, Allison K Flexer assures us that we are. This is a well written book suitable for everyone!
I've never read a book that specifically dealt with singleness until now, and it's a topic that definitely needs to be addressed. Allison Flexer has done a wonderful job of discussing a lot of things some single women believe and need to understand are lies depriving them of joy. My favorite thing about this book is that the author doesn't just rely on her thoughts and opinions but cites Scripture and reminds us of God's truths. I highly recommend this book!

You would think she wrote this book partly from my thoughts and feelings. She did an amazing job addressing the unspoken truths that singles deal with. I will definitely continue to use this as a reference until the time comes when I no longer need it. A weight has been lifted!
Allison has written a book that I wish had been out for years. I have already picked up copies for my single gal friends, knowing she says what I want to say, but in a more productive and powerful way. I love how reading this book, inspires me to have the tool I need when I am talking to someone that is hurting from a relationship of lies. Thank you Allison for providing so many women with a tool, they will be able to use for years.
Honestly, I haven't finished the book yet. I'm about halfway done. This is not a book that I can read all at once. This is a book that you read a chapter, maybe two, and then you think about what's been said. It's been great so far. Some chapters are easy to read because I personally don't have any problems with a specific chapter but there are other chapters where I have been in tears because it's something I've needed to read.
